Your available reimbursement methods are determined by your company program guidelines. Please note you may have one method of reimbursement that has been set by your company and will not be able to select a different method of reimbursement.


The different types of reimbursement methods are Direct Deposit, PayPal, Gift Card, and Payroll via paycheck. Please see your program specific articles to see what methods of reimbursement your company has enabled. Please note if you are an international client, you will only have the option of receiving reimbursements through your paycheck.



How does PayPal work? 

If you choose PayPal as your method of reimbursement, enter your First and Last Name and Email Address (or Phone Number) exactly as they appear in your PayPal account settings. You may do this from your ThriveAccount settings or enter this as you are submitting a reimbursement request. If you encounter an error message, please log into your PayPal account and access your settings by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner. Make sure that your name and email address (or phone number) match exactly what you've listed on the reimbursement form. PayPal reimbursements will take 1-3 days after approval to arrive in your PayPal account.

How do gift cards work? 

If you select a Gift Card as your reimbursement method, on your processing date or next bill date (if reimbursement is monthly) you will receive an email from our sister company, Wishlist Rewards (support@wishlistrewards.com), prompting you to select your gift card. Once you choose your gift card, Wishlist Rewards will send you one more email with instructions to activate your gift card.


How does direct deposit work?

If your company has direct deposit enabled, please see this article on how to link your bank information on your ThriveAccount - How to Add your Bank Information. Direct Deposit will take 5-7 business days after approval for the funds to arrive in your bank account. 


How does Payroll reimbursement work?

If you are an international client or your company uses payroll for your reimbursements, please reach out to your company to understand what future paycheck your reimbursement will be on.
