Naming a beneficiary is an important step in protecting your savings. A beneficiary designation ensures that your HSA funds are distributed according to your wishes in the event of your passing and helps avoid delays or unintended outcomes for your loved ones.
Please note that your HSA account does NOT automatically name a default beneficiary.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to add or ensure your preferred beneficiary designation(s) is on file for your Health Savings Account (HSA).
How to add or update your beneficiary:
- Online at ThrivePass: Log in to your HSA account and complete the following steps:
- Select Your Benefits, then Personal Dashboard
- Choose My Accounts under Menu and select Benefit Account Summary
- Click View Beneficiaries
- Follow instructions to add or review beneficiaries
- Paper form: If you prefer, complete the attached Beneficiary Designation Form and submit it according to the instructions noted.
