How to join a challenge

  • You can join a challenge through our website or mobile app. From our website, go to the Engage section then to “View Challenges”. From there you can scroll down to see a list of challenges. Select the challenge you wish to join and click the "Join Challenge" button.

    From the mobile app, click the menu button on the top left side of the app and go to “My Challenges.” From there you will see a list of challenges. Select the challenge you want to participate in by clicking the “Join” button. From there you will see details about the challenge and another yellow “join” button. Click that button again and you will have officially joined that challenge.


Logging and editing entries

  • To log in the web application, go to the Engage section and click the arrow on the right-hand side to see the Engage menu options. Click “Challenges” and select the challenge you wish to log an entry for.

    You will be able to see details of the challenge, a leaderboard, and a feed of what’s been logged. On the right-hand side click the yellow “Log” button, fill out the requested information and click “Submit.” If you have a device connected, your entries will be logged based on the sync frequency.

When should I expect to receive my points for completing a challenge?

  • Typically the challenge reward is added once you have met the goal. However, sometimes it can take up to a week after the challenge has ended before you receive credit. We appreciate your patience!


Why is there a difference between the time I submitted my challenge entry vs. when I actually logged the entry?

  • The ThrivePass website runs in the UTC timezone. For this reason, the times vary on your entries.

Syncing your device with ThrivePass

  • Connecting Your Device

    • You can connect your Fitbit, Google Fit-enabled or Apple Health-enabled devices via the mobile app or website.. When joining a challenge, you will be prompted to select how you want to track the challenge and you can connect your device at that time.

    • You can connect your device after you have joined a challenge by clicking the "Connect a Device" button. 

  • Fitbit

    • Fitbit data is synced once per day at 12 AM MST. We sync 5 days worth of data at a time. This means that we will log challenge entries for the previous 5 days as long as the challenge was active at that time. It also means that your steps from the previous day will not be recorded until 12 AM MST on the next day.  Each day we only sync that data that has not already been recorded and make any adjustments that have been made since the last sync.

  • Google Fit

    • GoogleFit data is synced once per day at 12 AM MST. We sync 5 days worth of data at a time. This means that we will log challenge entries for the previous 5 days as long as the challenge was active at that time. It also means that your steps from the previous day will not be recorded until 12 AM MST on the next day. Each day we only sync that data that has not already been recorded and make any adjustments that have been made since the last sync.

  • Apple Health

    • Apple Health data is synced when you open your ThrivePass App from your mobile device. For this reason, it is a good idea to open your app up and allow a few minutes for the data to sync. We sync 9 days worth of data at a time. This means that we will log challenge entries for the previous 9 days as long as the challenge was active at that time. If you are syncing your device on a daily basis, we will only pull the data we have not already recorded.

  • Time zone - UTC

    • The ThrivePass website runs in the UTC timezone. For this reason, the times vary on your entries.
